Hardy only in zones 10 and 11 where it is used as a hedge, specimen, or container plant. Where not hardy, it makes a wonderful flowering plant when grown in containers and can be protected during winter.
This palm has very interesting foliage. The leaflets of the fronds occur at all angles giving the fronds a bottlebrush or foxtail-like quality.
